**CANCELED** Unlawful Invisibles: A Guided Tour of ZZT Hacking

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

ZZT was a simple level editor made by Tim Sweeney (founder of Epic Games) to create simple puzzle adventure shareware titles. The community it created hacked, modded and riffed off each other's work to create games and experiments wildly beyond anything Sweeney could have envisioned. In this curated tour of games from the ZZT community, I'll trace tools, techniques and trends from game to game to show how a bunch of weird queer and trans teens reinvented a twenty-year-old game-making tool again and again.
